something that i want to share..
Dont worry be happy :)
hmm.. i just wanna share sumthing that strikes me this couple of days.
mm i was reading a book called Warrior Chicks by Holly Wagner! (love her!!) it talks about how we (girls) have to be warriors and all that. anyway..
i've been thinking about the problems that we have in life and how we react towards that problems. sometime we always ask God why why why and why! i don't want this bla bla bla bla and we don't know how to respond to the problems in front of us. we thought (at least i do!) this is too hard and goes on and on.. here i wanna share sumthin that makes me feel like i have to be thankful for my problems. Even though as humans, obviously its hard and we hate it. but the good news is there is a purpose behind all these problems. yey! Sometimes we worry too much and we forgot about what God is doing in our lives through our problems.
In her book Holly Wagner use the illustration :
in 1991, 8 scientists created an artificial environment in Oracle, Arizona called biosphere 2. Anyway, they created artificial sea, gardens, trees, desert, rain forest, weather condition, all except wind. after a while without the stress of wind that strengthen the woods, the trees snapped, trunks goes week, and couldn't hold its own weight. like it or not, weathering trials is what builds our strength. ya gituh lah pokoknya..
imagine us without problems. maybe we sometimes feel like our problems are making us exhausted and it takes our smile away and bla bla.. but we're wrong. hihihi in fact our problems makes us stronger and stronger..
so... maybe the next time we have a problem we should try fighting it with a smile.. its hard and its kind of vague but in the bible God says...
Proverbs 21:31
Do your best, prepare for the worst-
then trust God to bring victory..
(Horeeeeeeeee mantep kan!)
Proverbs 15:13
"A cheerful heart brings a smile to your face;
a sad heart makes it hard to get through the day"
So after all we should just smile, try hard, and have faith hihi
Dont worry be happy dah :)
foundations that you can look at..
there are many foundations that concerns about poverty in the world and help people all over the world in many ways. If you would like to help by donating or be involve, you can look at this few links that i am posting in this page.
The first foundation that i think is very good is COMPASSION
compassion is a christian foundation that concerns about children all over the world. what you can do through this website is to choose a child and adopt one child for $50. With that $50 the child will have the opportunity to go to school, food, and most importantly the feeling that somebody in another part of the earth care about them. I think that this is a very good site, if you are thinking to change someone's life and get personal feed back.
Their link is : www.compassion.org OR for australia www.compassion.com.au
Another foundation that you can also look at is WORLD VISION.
world vision have the similar system as compassion. However this foundation do not involve christian value as much as compassion. This foundation also provide "adoption" just like compassion, and also to donate directly. You can look at their website at :
wwww.worldvision.com
you can also donate to churches like Hillsong church in sydney or Jakarta Praise Community Church in Jakarta. For further information you can also cantact me to ask questions . :)

a trip to Kalijodo- Jakarta
A trip to kalijodo jakarta is a trip held by our church JPCC (jakarta praise community church). This is not actually F.A.I.T.H's event. but I just wanna share some of the place that i have visited. In Kalijodo-Jakarta, there are people living under the toll road with garbage, soil, and nothing to sleep with, their conditions are bad enough. about a year ago, after there are an incident of burnt toll road caused by the houses built underneath it, the government decided to wipe out all the houses that are build by these people living in poverty in the middle of Indonesia's capital city jakarta. These people are suddenly moved out and their home are wiped out with soil, and nothing left. What we do is once a month we will visit them, give food, medicine and a small church service for them. what we do is not much they really appreciate it and in return give us the most valuable lesson. For me personally they give me more than i ever give them, is the lesson of life, is the lesson to appreciate, a lesson to be grateful, and a lesson about life. In this page i will share some pictures that we took... enjoY... :)
This is a picture of one of the kid that got tripped and do not have the medicine or band aid or anything to clean her scar. And so the only thing that her mother have is coffee and put coffee on her forehead to stop the bleeding. Its heart breaking isn't it?
This is the place where we held our little service. just with a little plastic mat, under a toll road.
if its raining its really bad! all the soils get sticky and dirty :( imagine living there...
singing and dancing during our little church service. love their smiles. :)
a helping hand. giving candies.. small things can really brighten your day.
so, this is one of the things that really touched me, I personally learn a lot from these experiences. small things does matter, and you will never know how these people can actually give you a lesson that no one else can.
2 corinthians 9:7
each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Our vision
F.A.I.T.H is a community build to inform people all about poverty all over the world.
F.A.I.T.H stands for Freedom of Action to Influence with Truth and Hope. The vision of our community is to set up a community in which enables people with the same vision and concerns to share and to be encouraged to help those who are in need. The community is build by 3 young women from Indonesia, with increasing concerns about poverty especially in our country Indonesia. This community is based on christian perspectives although we do not limit anyone anywhere in the world with any kind of believe to connect in our community.
In Indonesia, with a massive amount of population trapped in the circle of poverty Indonesia had a very wide gap between the rich and the poor. Half of Indonesia's 235 million population are living in poverty, in which most live on $2 a day and 18% livi with only $1 a day. This is a major concern to us, as Indonesia developed into a more modernized country we wish that we can change the condition in Indonesia in the near future. For me, I am most concern about the education in Indonesia which is very poor. Half of the population did not get the chance to even be educated, let alone be successful in their lives. They are trapped in the circle of poverty and have no where to go.
We are the people who are called to help them. we are educated, we are blessed, and we have the same concerns. so what are you waiting for?! $1 might not mean anything for us (you can't even buy a bottle of water in the supermarket), but $1 means one more day to live for them. small things does matter, and we can start just by doing small things.
